Travel tips for those coming to Bulgaria

1. You can find it times cheaper when staying in the town rather than going to the resorts.
2. Never trust the taxi drivers or just ask for the price beforehand.
3. Shop food from the town.
4. Beware of thiefs especially in the city center or at market places.
5. If you see different prices for locals and foreigns just know that this is against the equality principle in the EU.
6. Beware of fake real estate and flight reservation agents by knowing the person/company beforehand. On the street avoid strangers asking you for money exchange.
7. Food/vegetables and fruits are excellent so go to the market and try by yourself.
8. Don't believe in the high star restaurants or in such places located near the sea. In most of the cases they offer lower quality food so be careful when choosing such place.
9. Be kind to the authorities, but know your rights.
10. When using credit card be sure that no one is looking at your digits or just go to bank/ATM to withdraw the sum.
11. When using Wi-fi try to encrypt your connection.
12. Try to organize your trip by yourself rather than relying on travel companies.
