Sofia
The capital of Bulgaria offers lots of business opportunities to its visitors. It's the place where the Euro funds reach first. The wages here are significantly higher than elsewhere in the country, and that explains why so many small-town folks crave to settle in.
Although Sofia is a big city ~ 2 millions citizens, it doesn't resemble other cosmopolitan towns like Berlin and London.
Traffic jams often last up to several hours - a really exhausting, irritating and time consuming experience for the people involved. A really short metro line makes it hard for the people to experience the real benefits from having it. Increased life-stress levels are being the main reasons behind frequent street conflicts which force man to always stay focused. Last but not least just like in Varna there is striking class difference - people with lots of money and those with almost nothing.
Anyway, it happens to be a nice place for a couple of days!
Sofia is the most favorable business tourism city
According to the statistics when you go for a lunch in Sofia you'll pay ~17,44 Euro or 184 Euro for an overall daily expenditure. Now compare this to London's 509 Euro or Frankfurt's 750 Euro and you'll probably think more carefully upon your next business meeting place.
If you have the opportunity you could also check out Varna. Prices stay nearly same, and even cheaper but you'll also enjoy the refreshing sea.
Here is a sample list of hotels where you can stay in when planning a business trip in Bulgaria:
Sofia: RadissonSass, Hilton, Sheraton Balkan, Kempinski-Zografski, Park-Hotel Moskva
Plovdiv: Novotel, St. Peterburg, Trimontium Princess
Varna: Cherno More, Odessos, Musala Palace
Bourgas: Bulgaria Hotel
