Varna and its outskirts

Summer night life
Bulgaria's eastern capital has unlimited ways to fascinate and amuse its visitors in the summer time. Just take a walk outside along the streets and you'll see thousands of people going to discos, pubs or relaxing on the Sea garden's benches.

If you enjoy the oriental rhythms be assured that there are at least 10 pubs on the seaside lane that will suit you. Live music, belly dancers and nice food are some of the main reason for the tourists to like this town.

On the flip side if you prefer calm, easy listening music there are few places like the small accosted ship which you must attend. For the enthusiasts here is the receipt: just take couple of beers, find some beach and have a talk.

Discos - lots, full of people open midnight at 12.00 with the newest world hits and quality sounds.

Sport utilities: if you want to stay away from the noise try practising night-time outdoor sports such as volleyball, football or tennis for free at the Sea Garden directly beneath the Sport Palace center. Don't worry if you don't know the players - there is always a free place. Afterwards you'll not only feel good but sleep better.

Less-known outskirts
Route Varna - Kumanovo
If you want to combine sea tourism with charming country life this route is for you. Suburbia areas are very suitable for someone willing to exchange the coastline for a refreshing walk around the surrounding villages.

A village of Kumanovo being 12km north of Varna has 2 shops, pub and lots of houses, all built in a distinctive Bulgarian style. The village is sideways from the main Varna-Albena road and is some kind of local serenity oasis. In its centre a traditional diary farm, produces the famous Bulgarian yoghurt and cottage cheese. The area is also full of natural reservoirs, providing a soft, cool spring water. Enjoy the old buildings capturing the traditional rural spirit and try to have a small talk with the residents proud with their natural animals and plants.
For several years the rural tourism has gained significance and several houses are being used for a temporary tourist base between the routes. The nearest health-resorts are Golden Sands(~15km.), Albena(~20km.), St. Constantine and Hellena(~12km.)
